How to get rid of dark spots granite water?
I have has a 20 gallon fish tank in the same place on my granite countertop two years. I am moving and need to clean so I can get my deposit. I'm not sure it is from the water … but I live in Hawaii and we have very hard water. Please help!
Discoloration of the water tank could be, but it could also be just having something to sit forever in the stone, which can be the "age" differently from the rest of the counterrevolution. I would recommend to be very careful with Pepsi as recommended by someone else. Very well could take the 'crap' out, but you have to understand that the queue contains an acid, acid and stone engraving. I would first try a degreaser very good to see pull. In addition, do not be afraid to use a solvent such as acetone to dissolve any crap today. If there is no mess, just discoloration, you may need a little luck mix the rest of the roof by spraying some WD-40 on a soft cloth and clean the stone. This has a tendency to "saturate" the color, making it dark. A solvent based impregnation (sealing) can also give good results. Just be sure to test a small area with any treatment decisions. This will ensure they do not destroy the top. Good luck.
